'Korean Society for Content Science 2024 General Academic Conference'... Held at Dongseo University Centum Campus Korea Contents Association Poster.

The "Korea Contents Association 2024 Comprehensive Academic Conference," hosted by the Korea Contents Association under the theme "Digital Content Transformation in the Post-Human Era," is jointly organized by the Graduate School of Design, Graduate School of Visual Contents, Asia Future Design Research Institute, and the BK21 project groups of the Department of Visual Contents and the Department of Design at Dongseo University.

Since its establishment in 2000, the Korea Contents Association has had about 20,000 members participating in academic activities, and the 29th Comprehensive Academic Conference in 2024 will be held at Dongseo University Centum Campus. At this conference, 295 papers will be presented across 28 divisions, and 299 works will be exhibited at the International Digital Design Invitational Exhibition.

Notably, at 11 a.m. on the 24th, research professors from the Asia Future Design Research Institute at Dongseo University will participate as speakers on the theme "Sustainable Future and Speculative Design."

Jihye Kim, a research professor, will present the first session, "Design Education Content from the Perspective of Speculative Design," exploring the concept of speculative design, which brings future virtual scenarios into the present to re-examine them, and reviewing various attempts for a sustainable future through real cases applying educational content developed at the Asia Future Design Research Institute.

Additionally, Saeron Yoon, a research professor, will discuss the approach and potential of speculative design in preparing for the future through curiosity across various fields.

They will introduce cases that realize unique sensibilities and warm interest in humanity through the creative power of design, delivering a message of hope and determination to build a better tomorrow.

In the second part, lectures will continue on the theme of food, researched by the Asia Future Design Research Institute in the context of local culture and sustainability.

Hyojung Kim, a research professor, will focus on Busan cuisine as a local story and explain how to integrate scattered information about Busan food as an element of a platform from the perspective of speculative design.

Yeonjae Ra, former visiting researcher at City University of New York, will share insights on the reinterpretation, hybridity, and sustainability of Korean cuisine. She will examine the process by which food, through hybridity, creates a space for communication between producers and consumers as "gourmet," and compare Korean restaurants in New York with the gourmet landscape of Busan to reflect on the future of Korean and Busan cuisine.

Speculative design is not only a method for responding to reality but also a process and methodology for imagining the future and finding answers. This lecture will provide an opportunity to envision future lifestyles shaped by culture, the global environment, and cutting-edge technology, and to share design strategies and educational efforts to approach these futures.

In addition, in the afternoon, Dongseo University will hold a special session on "Content Creation in the Post-Human Era Using AI and Gamification," presenting advanced research achievements in the field of cultural content.

At this comprehensive academic conference, graduate students from the Graduate School of Design and the Graduate School of Visual Contents at Dongseo University have submitted a total of about 60 papers, and about 20 works will also be exhibited. In addition, a celebratory performance by students from the Department of Musical Theater is scheduled for the opening ceremony.

Through hosting the "Korea Contents Association 2024 Comprehensive Academic Conference," Dongseo University plans to showcase its research capabilities and leadership in the field of content to both domestic and international researchers.
