Yeosu Eco International Music Festival Opens on June 20

Beyond Yeosu, Towards Korea's Representative Music Festival

Hosted by Yeosu City in Jeollanam-do and organized by the Beommin Cultural Foundation, the "2024 9th Yeosu Eco International Music Festival" will be held from the 20th to the 23rd of next month at GS Caltex Yeulmaru.

Under the theme "Awakening the Senses," the 2024 Yeosu Eco International Music Festival will feature a total of four performances over four days. Led by Artistic Director Professor Minji Kim from Seoul National University, the stage will be graced by renowned domestic and international performers including harpsichordist Arent Hrospelt and pianist Ilya Rashkovsky.

On the first day, the 20th, Mozart's "Rare Piece Salzburg Symphony No. 1," Vivaldi's "Concerto Grosso," An Seongmin's "Music is Echo," and Dvo??k's "Serenade for Strings" will be performed.


On the 21st, Haydn's "String Quartet The Nightingale," Weber's "Trio for Piano, Flute, and Cello," and Mendelssohn's "String Octet" will be showcased. On the 22nd, Faur?'s "Dolly Suite," Arensky's "String Quartet No. 2," and Schubert's "Piano Quintet Trout" are scheduled.


The final day, the 23rd, will be divided into two parts.


In Part 1, performances will include ▲ Tchaikovsky's "Waltz from Swan Lake," ▲ John Williams' "Theme from Schindler's List," ▲ Ennio Morricone's "Gabriel's Oboe," ▲ "The Song of the Cross-eyed" and "Deborah's Theme," and ▲ "Themes of Childhood, Adulthood, and Love." Part 2 will feature ▲ Popper's "Polonaise for Cello and Orchestra Op.14," ▲ Bach's "Chaconne BWV.1004," and songs by The Beatles.


Additionally, the "Net Zero Festa Yeogiisseu" will take place across the eastern region of Jeollanam-do and companies within the Yeosu National Industrial Complex.


Tickets can be reserved on Interpark until the 19th of next month (all seats priced at 50,000 KRW).
