Gangjin-gun, Public Officials' Unity Event... Strengthening Harmony and Revitalizing Local Economy

Over 500 Public Officials Gather for a Day of Unity with Cheerful Sports Events, Celebration Performances, and Talent Shows

On the 22nd, Gangjin-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced on the 23rd that it held the '2024 Public Officials Unity Event' at Gangjin No.1 Gymnasium.

About 500 people participated in the event, including County Governor Gang Jinwon, Vice Chairman of the Gangjin County Council Yoo Kyungsook, council members, Yoon Ilyoung, head of the Gangjin branch of the Public Officials Labor Union, and public officials.

The Public Officials Unity Event is held to promote a sense of belonging and pride among employees of Gangjin-gun and to foster harmony among staff. It had not been held for five years due to the large-scale COVID-19 outbreak and the Itaewon tragedy memorial since 2019.

To add significance to the event, the county encouraged each department to have lunch at local restaurants to support the regional economy, receiving positive feedback from local merchants who said it helped revitalize the commercial district.

Participants began with a performance symbolizing the gathering of public officials' hearts to move forward together, then all departments formed four teams (Yeongrang, Cheongja, Dasan, Hamel) and strengthened their camaraderie through a cheerful sports day.

In the afternoon, invited singer performances, talent shows, and a raffle were held to relieve employees' stress and share the small joy of winning, providing a time for recharging.

County Governor Gang Jinwon said, "I would like to express my gratitude to all public officials who have devoted their utmost efforts to 'Building a New Gangjin of Creation Connected by Communication.' I hope this was a time to relieve all the accumulated fatigue and strengthen the bonds among employees."
