Sacheon Police Station Conducts Traffic Safety Training to Strengthen School Safety Guard Competence

Education for All School Safety Keepers in Local Elementary, Middle, and High Schools

Sacheon Police Station in Gyeongnam announced that on the 22nd, a competency enhancement training session was held for all 41 School Safety Guardians from local elementary, middle, and high schools at the main auditorium of Sacheon Office of Education.

The training was conducted by the head of the Traffic Division at Sacheon Police Station, under the theme of "Protecting Students and Myself to Create a Safe School." The session explained essential laws that School Safety Guardians must know, as well as their responsibilities and roles, which resonated with the participants and enhanced their sense of professionalism and competence.


In particular, the training highlighted the role of School Safety Guardians as traffic safety sentinels by presenting various cases and videos about traffic accidents, which are the most common type of accidents involving children. The session also included education on traffic safety for the guardians themselves.


Kwack Dongchil, Chief of Sacheon Police Station, stated, "Over the past three years, there have been zero child traffic accidents not only in school zones but throughout Sacheon City. This achievement is the result of joint efforts by both the public and private sectors to prevent accidents." He added, "We will continue to work together with School Safety Guardians and the community to foster a safe school environment and a safe traffic culture in school zones."
