Park Chan-dae, floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, said on the 23rd, "The Democratic Party must properly respond to the earnest voices of the people who were hurt by incompetence, irresponsibility, and immorality in the 22nd National Assembly."

Park made this remark during his closing speech at the 22nd National Assembly members-elect workshop held in Deoksan-myeon, Yesan, Chungnam, on the morning of the same day.

He said, "In the past two years, the Yoon Seok-yeol administration endangered the lives and safety of the people and caused irreparable emotional wounds through a series of disasters such as the Itaewon tragedy, Osong disaster, and the death of a marine," adding, "High inflation, low growth, and a 56 trillion won tax revenue shortfall have ruined the livelihoods of ordinary people. There were also numerous policy announcements made with an attitude of 'if it doesn't work, so be it.'"
