Expansion of Football Infrastructure Support in the Incheon Region, the Home Base
Hyundai Steel's 'Red Angels,' leading the WK League for women's professional soccer, has stepped up to support promising female soccer players in the Incheon area.
On the 22nd, Hyundai Steel announced that it recently held a uniform delivery ceremony at the Red Angels clubhouse in Seo-gu, Incheon, attended by Seo Sang-won, Hyundai Steel team leader, Lee Hye-jin, coach of Gajeong Girls' Middle School (hereafter Gajeong Girls' Middle), and about 30 players from the Gajeong Girls' Middle soccer team.
At the event, Hyundai Steel provided Gajeong Girls' Middle players with uniforms produced by its sponsor partner, the sports brand 'Umbro,' as well as snacks and other support items.
Additionally, players active in the Red Angels, including Choi Ji-na (FW), a Gajeong Girls' Middle alumna, also joined to encourage the young soccer prospects.
Hyundai Steel's uniform support is part of its self-initiated 'Support Plan for Girls' Soccer Teams in Middle and High Schools in the Incheon Area,' which began last year.
Hyundai Steel expanded and revamped the 'Hyundai Steel Girls' Soccer School,' which had been suspended due to COVID-19, into a support program for girls' soccer teams in middle and high schools in the Incheon area.

In addition to this uniform support, snacks were provided to players from Incheon Design High School and Gajeong Girls' Middle soccer teams participating in various competitions such as the Chunchoo Federation Tournament, Queen's Cup, Championship, and National Sports Festival. Furthermore, in September, following last year, Hyundai Steel plans to conduct tryouts to discover new players.
A Hyundai Steel official said, "We hope that Hyundai Steel's women's soccer development program in our home region will contribute even a little to the activation of infrastructure and support for young female players. We will continue to expand various support activities beyond providing uniforms, snacks, and tryouts."
