Ailet Agency Belif Lab "Sues Min Heejin for Obstruction of Business and Defamation"

Belif Lab, a label under HYBE, has filed a complaint against Min Hee-jin, CEO of ADOR, for obstruction of business and defamation after she raised plagiarism allegations against Aileit regarding NewJeans.

On the 22nd, Belif Lab released a statement saying, "We have submitted a complaint against CEO Min Hee-jin, who has been causing damage by unilaterally making false claims against our company and its artists, on charges of obstruction of business and defamation."

Belif Lab clarified, "Regarding the plagiarism allegations raised by CEO Min against our artist Aileit, we firmly state that these claims are not true," adding, "We have submitted evidence to judicial authorities proving that the allegations are false, and although it may take some time, we will resolve the matter through proper legal procedures."

They continued, "Whether intellectual property has been plagiarized should be judged based on reasonable standards and procedures," and added, "Nonetheless, we express regret that our artists and members’ efforts and achievements are being disparaged due to reckless speculation and false information."

The company also stated, "Aileit members are suffering from severe malicious comments, ridicule, and personal attacks unrelated to the essence of the issue," and demanded that CEO Min’s side cease these defamatory attacks.

Last month, CEO Min held a press conference claiming that Aileit, under Belif Lab, plagiarized NewJeans. She also argues that HYBE’s audit of ADOR is retaliation for the plagiarism allegations she raised.
