Sacheon City to Host Various Events for the Opening of the Space Aviation Agency

KAI Aerospace Museum Opens Free to the Public

As the Korea Aerospace Administration prepares to open on the 27th, Sacheon City is boosting the celebratory atmosphere by organizing a variety of events and activities.

The Sacheon City Facilities Management Corporation is hosting activities such as the Sacheon Sea Cable Car initial consonant quiz and SNS events, while Sacheon City is also running a social media event to celebrate the opening of the Korea Aerospace Administration.

In addition, the Sacheon Aerospace Science Museum and KAI Aerospace Museum are currently offering free admission events, and the Sacheon Cultural Foundation is holding the ‘Snoopy Korea Special Exhibition’ at the Sacheon Art Museum gallery.

The Sacheon City Sports Council is also preparing the 2024 Sacheon Citizens’ Walking Festival to commemorate the opening of the Korea Aerospace Administration.

In line with these events, all towns and districts in Sacheon are conducting large-scale environmental cleanup activities in preparation for the opening of the Korea Aerospace Administration.

Notably, on the 28th at 7:30 p.m., the city will hold the ‘KBS Open Concert’ at Samcheonpo Sports Complex to celebrate the opening. Only those with admission tickets will be allowed entry on a first-come, first-served basis from 6 p.m., and those under the age of 15 will not be permitted to enter.

Meanwhile, the ‘KBS Open Concert’ was initially considered for the temporary office and the sunset plaza at Sacheon City Hall, but due to concerns over audience safety and the need for a larger venue, Samcheonpo Sports Complex was ultimately selected as the location.

Admission tickets were distributed through the Administrative Welfare Center on the 21st, but many citizens expressed disappointment as the tickets were given out quickly and distribution ended early.

On the 17th, the city held a safety management inspection and coordination meeting with relevant agencies and departments to review the safety management plan for the ‘KBS Open Concert’. Around 300 personnel from the police, security, health, and fire departments will be mobilized to ensure safety.

A city official stated, “We have prepared a variety of events and activities to offer comfort and pride to the citizens who worked hard for the opening of the Korea Aerospace Administration.”
