'Easy Registration for Smoking Cessation Clinic'... Bucheon City Launches QR Code and KakaoTalk Channel

Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 22nd that it has launched a QR code and operates a KakaoTalk channel to enable new registrations for the smoking cessation clinic remotely, increasing accessibility for smokers.

Anyone can register for the smoking cessation clinic by using the QR code or by searching for the Kakao channel 'Bucheon-si Ojeong Health Center Smoking Cessation Clinic'.

The smoking cessation clinic Kakao channel offers services such as remote registration for the clinic and one-on-one customized chat and phone consultations. Additionally, users can receive various updates about smoking cessation and participate in monthly smoking cessation quiz events, where selected participants receive small prizes.

The health center provides smoking cessation aids such as nicotine patches and nicotine gum, as well as behavioral reinforcement items and success souvenirs for those who quit smoking for 3 months and 6 months.

Furthermore, Ojeong Health Center signed a business agreement last year with the Bucheon Workers' Health Center, allowing workers who find it difficult to visit the smoking cessation clinic to use the service at the center.

Jo Yong-ik, mayor of Bucheon City, stated, "We will strive to create a healthy Bucheon by providing various projects to create a smoke-free environment and smoking cessation support services to reduce the smoking rate."
