Through this agreement, Samwha Paint and Sensy will ▲ jointly carry out color universal design (CUD, Color Universal Design) color planning for the interior and exterior of Sensy’s Paju factory ▲ jointly support color cultural content provided to the local community ▲ actively cooperate in supporting the visually impaired, low vision individuals, and colorblind people.

CUD is a customized color design that considers the elderly, colorblind, and others with color vision deficiencies to easily distinguish colors. Guide signs used in daily life separate information by color. People with color vision deficiencies cannot recognize certain colors, making it difficult to identify information. Color Universal Design was developed to solve this problem.
Samwha Paint was the first in the industry to develop Color Universal Design in 2015 and applied it to a senior welfare facility in Hongseong. Since then, it has provided Color Universal Design to facilities for visually impaired children such as the National Seoul School for the Blind, Daegu Gwangmyeong School, and Jeonbuk School for the Blind.
On the 10th, Samwha Paint registered the copyright for the ‘Samwha Color Universal Design Guide for Welfare Facilities for the Disabled,’ which contains know-how on Color Universal Design.
Lee Sang-hee, head of the Color Design Center at Samwha Paint, said, “As a color-specialized company, Samwha Paint aims to create a society where everyone, including the elderly, colorblind, and visually impaired, can live equally and comfortably without being excluded from color. We plan to create added value aligned with ESG management together with Sensy, which possesses braille and tactile special printing technology.”
