Goheung Palyongsan 'Small Concert in the Forest' Successfully Held

Filled with the scent of cypress wood, offering the joy of forest and music becoming one

At Palyongsan Cypress Healing Forest in Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min), a small concert in the forest was held on the 18th, providing various music and enjoyment to local residents and visitors, and it ended with great response from the visitors.

The concert featured singer Oh Eun-hye, who is from Geumsan-myeon in our county, boosting the excitement of the visitors. Shin Na-ra, a former contestant of Miss Trot, delivered a stage performance that captivated the hearts of visitors with song selections fitting the forest atmosphere, as well as high-level instrumental performance and vocal skills.

Additionally, various music genres such as fusion gugak (traditional Korean music) and Nanta performances were offered, creating a joyful atmosphere where the forest and music became one.

A visitor from Gwangju expressed, “Listening to good music while feeling the scent of nature in the cypress forest was a unique concert experience that cannot be felt anywhere else.”

Meanwhile, the county completed the construction of a loess barefoot trail in Palyongsan Cypress Healing Forest to coincide with this concert, which gained great popularity among many users.

A county official said, “We strongly encourage many people to regain vitality in their daily lives and recharge their mind and body at Goheung Palyongsan Cypress Healing Forest, where the evergreen cypress and red poppy flowers harmonize beautifully in the lovely spring.”
