Polaris Office is accelerating the strengthening of its business competitiveness through the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) resources within the group.
Polaris Office announced on the 22nd that Lee Haeseok, Vice President of Polaris Office, will concurrently serve as the group's Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO) alongside his existing role as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Polaris Office, leading the AI business across the group companies.
As his first move, CAIO Lee presented use cases of HyperCLOVA X at the 'HyperCLOVA X Reference Seminar' held yesterday at Big Place in Gangnam, Seoul. He introduced the case of incorporating HyperCLOVA X into the company's office software, 'Office AI.'
The seminar, hosted by Naver Cloud, was organized to share application cases and know-how of companies that have adopted Naver Cloud's large-scale AI, HyperCLOVA X. Vice President Lee explained the background and achievements of Polaris Office integrating HyperCLOVA X into its office services.
In April, Polaris Office launched 'Office AI,' the first generative AI-equipped office software in Korea. It offers various functions such as document creation, summarization, translation, and correction by utilizing AI, employing Naver Cloud's HyperCLOVA X application programming interface (API) for this purpose.
Vice President Lee emphasized, "HyperCLOVA X has a strong advantage in understanding Korean, accurately grasping context and generating natural sentences," adding, "It is trained on vast Korean language data, providing results optimized for the Korean document work environment."
He continued, "Through collaboration with HyperCLOVA X, we will offer AI office services in various B2C (business-to-consumer) and B2B (business-to-business) environments."
