Offering Various Attractions Including Photo Zones, Frame Garden, Observation Deck, Experience Learning Center, and Sculpture Garden
Programs Scheduled from July to September Including Herb Product Making and Herb Cutting Experience

Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Soo-hee) announced that the herb flowers at the 'Herb Astronomy Park' (San 86, Dunchon-dong, Gangdong-gu), where visitors can experience the beauty of nature and the mystery of astronomy simultaneously in Seoul, are now reaching their peak in May and June, offering visitors a unique and enchanting spectacle.

Opened in 2006, Herb Astronomy Park captivates visitors with its unique design resembling astronomical shapes (sun, moon, stars, etc.) and the harmonious blend of over 180 species of herbs and trees.

The park reveals a new appearance with the changing seasons every year, and now in May, the herb flowers blooming throughout the park are at their peak. At the park entrance and center, vibrant California poppies (Gold Poppy) bloom, while along the walking paths, a colorful array of herbs and flowers such as cornflower, artichoke, brown mustard, English lavender, heliotrope, foxglove, sage, and larkspur create a fragrant feast.

Currently, the park is filled with various attractions and activities beyond the herb flowers, including photo zones, framed gardens, observation decks, and sculpture gardens, providing visitors with endless enjoyment. Additionally, from July to September, the experiential learning center within Herb Astronomy Park will operate two themed programs: making herb products using herb essences and herb cutting (propagation) experiences.

Lee Soo-hee, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, said, “The peak of this herb flower festival lasts until early June,” and added, “As the only herb colony in Seoul, we hope visitors will take time to heal their body and mind by immersing themselves in the fragrant breeze among the colorful herb flowers here.”
