NH Investment & Securities announced on the 21st that it has delivered 77 refrigerators to village communities in Yesan County, Chungcheongnam-do.
NH Investment & Securities held a refrigerator delivery ceremony at the Yesan County Office on the same day, attended by Kim Yong-gi, Vice President of NH Investment & Securities, and Choi Jae-gu, Mayor of Yesan County.
The Yesan County village community support project is the second rural village community support project this year, following the delivery of refrigerators to Namhae County last month. NH Investment & Securities plans to donate refrigerators to a total of six counties this year. The selection of regions is based on a priority ranking that comprehensively reflects and applies weights to factors such as the aging rate, the proportion of elderly living alone, absolute population, population decline trends, and financial independence, using population statistics from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
As part of the NongHyup Group, NH Investment & Securities actively practices social responsibility activities including helping rural labor shortages and supporting farming households. From 2019 to 2021, it supported the replacement of outdated cooking facilities in rural village communities (village halls, senior centers) with electric ranges (induction cookers), and since 2022, it has supported refrigerators, which are durable goods installed in senior centers. From 2019 to 2021, a total of 1,263 induction cookers were delivered, and from 2022 over two years, a total of 720 refrigerators were provided.
NH Investment & Securities plans to continue visiting rural areas with labor shortages to carry out labor assistance and village community projects under the theme of "Creating Villages Together." Kim Yong-gi, Vice President of NH Investment & Securities, stated, "This year marks the sixth rural village community support project, which is one of NH Investment & Securities' representative social contribution activities, and we hope it will be a small help to the residents of rural villages." He added, "NH Investment & Securities will continue to carry out ongoing rural support projects."
