Pianist Park Jonghae Recital 'Mozart · Liszt · Schumann'

On the 26th at 4 PM at Geoam Art Hall

Pianist Park Jonghae will hold a solo recital at 4 p.m. on the 26th at Geoam Art Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.


At his first solo recital of 2024, Park Jonghae will perform works by Mozart, Liszt, and Schumann. In the first half, he will play Mozart's "Piano Sonata No. 10" and Liszt's "Funeral March" from Poetic and Religious Melodies, and in the second half, he will perform Schumann's "Symphonic Etudes."

Park Jonghae began playing the piano at the age of six and made his U.S. debut in 2000 with the Greater New Haven Concert Orchestra at Yale Moss Recital Hall. He debuted on the domestic stage in 2006 with the Kumho Young Artist Concert.


In 2018, he won second place at the G?za Anda International Piano Competition. He also received awards as the youngest second prize winner at the Hong Kong International Piano Competition and the Dublin International Piano Competition, along with special prizes for Best Concerto Performance and Best Mozart Performance. Additionally, he was a laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition and received a special award as the youngest performer.


He studied under Kang Choongmo at Korea National University of Arts and Arie Vardi at the Hochschule f?r Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover.


Park Jonghae's solo recital is the second stage of the planned performance series "Pianoforte Stage" presented by Geoam Art Hall this year. Following Park Jonghae's recital, performances by Baek Hyesun on September 7 and Moon Jiyoung on October 16 are scheduled.


Tickets for Park Jonghae's solo recital are priced at 40,000 KRW for all seats and can be purchased through Interpark.
