"Curious About Globally Recognized Korean Nuclear Power Plants!"

Invitation and Promotion for International Students at Universities and Graduate Schools in Ulsan and Busan

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Saeul Nuclear Power Headquarters (Director So Youseop) invited international students currently enrolled in universities and graduate schools in the Ulsan and Busan regions to promote Korea's advanced nuclear power plant construction technology and the export model APR1400 over six sessions from May 9 to 21.

Saeul Nuclear Power Headquarters, which operates and constructs the APR1400, is conducting various promotional activities to achieve the government's key national agenda of "exporting 10 nuclear power plants." This invitation event was organized to lay the foundation for successful exports by promoting the outstanding technology of Korean nuclear power plants to future global leaders studying at universities and graduate schools in the Ulsan and Busan regions.

Students from various countries, including those pursuing new nuclear power plant construction such as the Czech Republic and Poland, as well as those planning new projects like the Netherlands and Kazakhstan, toured the construction site of Saeul Units 3 and 4 from the construction observatory and visited key facilities of the nuclear power plant, such as the spent fuel storage pool of Saeul Unit 2, the turbine building, and the main control room.

Arjuna Almanzo, a student in the Department of Nuclear Engineering at UNIST, said, "I participated in the program because I wanted to see Korea's world-renowned nuclear power plants in person," and added, "It was a meaningful experience as I could see both the construction and operation sites of the APR1400, allowing me to gain a deeper understanding of Korean nuclear power plants."

Lee Seungrak, Head of Public Relations, stated, "With a sense of responsibility and pride as we are at the forefront of exports, we will do our utmost to promote the technology and competitiveness of our nuclear power plants to international visitors at Saeul Nuclear Power Headquarters."
