Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Yoon Byung-tae) is recruiting 500 trainees for the 'Agricultural Professional Competency Enhancement' program, which will be held over four months starting next month.

The training courses include ▲Common Competency Enhancement ▲Specialized Techniques by Item ▲Smart Agriculture, all conducted over 16 sessions.

The curriculum covers major agricultural issues and future agriculture responses, such as understanding climate change and agriculture/rural areas, healing agriculture, and basics and applications of smart farms.

In particular, courses reflecting actual demand, such as regional strategic cultivation items (pear, chili pepper, peach, etc.) agricultural strategies, establishment of agricultural corporations, and agricultural tax law, are planned, which is expected to attract great popularity.

The application deadline is until the 29th, and applicants can apply by scanning the QR code on the promotional material with a smartphone or by calling the Rural Guidance Team of the Agricultural Promotion Division at the Naju Agricultural Technology Center.

An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, “We will continue to promote various education programs to respond to the rapidly changing agricultural industry trends and to cultivate professional technicians for future agriculture.”

The training will be held from the 3rd of next month to September 5th at the multipurpose auditorium of the Naju Agricultural Technology Center and other locations. Detailed schedules can be found on the city hall website's notice board.
