Hwasun Jeonnam National University Hospital Successfully Holds 'Hwasun Molecular Imaging Symposium'

Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital (Director Min Jeong-jun) announced on the 21st that it recently held the "20th Hwasun Molecular Imaging Symposium (HOWS2024)."


The symposium was held at the Education Complex Building on the Hwasun campus of Chonnam National University College of Medicine, hosted by the Department of Nuclear Medicine and the Molecular Imaging Theranostics Research Institute.

Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital is leading molecular imaging research by being the first in Korea to introduce the in vivo imaging system (IVIS100). Since its opening in 2004, it has held the Hwasun Molecular Imaging Symposium annually and has established itself as a symposium recognized by the molecular imaging academic community.


At this symposium, the presenters included ▲Mark A. Sellmyer, Professor at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania ▲Suzanne E. Lapi, Professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine ▲Jason S. Lewis, Head of Radiochemistry Services at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center ▲Dinh-Huy Nguyen, Research Professor in the Department of Nuclear Medicine at Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital ▲Se-ryeong Kang, Professor in the Department of Nuclear Medicine at Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital.


Director Min Jeong-jun, who is actively engaged in nuclear medicine research and recognized for outstanding achievements, along with Professors Beom Hee-seung and Kwon Seong-young, also attended to share the latest molecular imaging technologies and research outcomes.


Director Min Jeong-jun stated, “The Hwasun Molecular Imaging Symposium has become an important event where domestic and international experts participate to present the latest research results in the field of optical molecular imaging medicine, laying the foundation for future international collaborative research.”
