Jinju City Council Visits Local Businesses to Hear Management Difficulties

Visits to Ilgwang Metal and Seonghwa Industry During Special Session

Also Visits Temporary City Hall and General Social Welfare Center

Checks Convenience for Senior Citizens

On June 20, during the 255th Jinju City Council extraordinary session, Economic Welfare Committee Chairperson Yoon Sungwan, Vice Chairperson Kim Hyungseok, and members Choi Sinyong, Choi Minkook, Choi Jiwon, Choi Hoyoun, and Shin Seokyung visited three locations: Ilgwang Metal, Seonghwa Industry, and the Jinju City General Social Welfare Center.

Ilgwang Metal, which manufactures automotive parts, and Seonghwa Industry, which mainly produces pipe supports, factory-made piping, and piping modules, both record annual sales exceeding 100 billion KRW. They are also actively pioneering new markets, establishing themselves as successful regional business models.

On this day, the Economic Welfare Committee listened to presentations on the current status at each company and held a discussion session to gather on-site opinions regarding support measures for local businesses.

Through the discussion, the committee members expressed encouragement for the efforts both companies have made for their growth, identified management difficulties, and promised to work with Jinju City to create a more business-friendly environment.

Chairperson Yoon Sungwan stated, "By meeting with promising local companies multiple times, we have been able to identify best practices and listen to the difficulties and suggestions from company representatives. This has allowed us to consider in greater depth how the Jinju City Council can work with the city to support these businesses. The Economic Welfare Committee will carefully compile the opinions discussed and ensure they are properly reflected in city policies."

On the same day, the Economic Welfare Committee also visited the Jinju City General Social Welfare Center, which recently temporarily relocated to the Yoon Yang Building in Dongsung-dong, Jinju. The relocation of the welfare center is due to the demolition of the current facility as part of the Seongbuk District Urban Regeneration New Deal Project, with the Jinju N Creative Culture Center set to be established on the site.

The committee members asked the welfare center to pay special attention to facility operations so that elderly users, who make up the main user group, do not experience inconvenience when using the temporary office.
