Prosecutors "Strict Response to Similar Crimes"
The prosecution has indicted a teenage boy who posted threats of stabbing attacks at girls' middle and high schools and a terrorist attack on the Presidential Office.
On the 21st, the Criminal Division 3 of the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Kim Hee-young) announced that they had indicted A (16) on charges of threats and other offenses the previous day.
A posted dozens of messages threatening stabbing and bomb attacks at the Presidential Office, Seoul Station, girls' middle and high schools, Jamsil Gymnasium, and local festivals to attract attention. As a result, over 1,500 personnel, including police officers, firefighters, special forces, and soldiers, were mobilized, leading to a waste of public resources.
A prosecution official stated, "We will continue to cooperate with the police to strictly respond to similar crimes that cause public anxiety, such as posting murder threats."
