Youth Club Performances and Play Experience Booths 운영
The ‘2024 Gangseo Kids Kkachikkachi Festival’ for children and adolescents will be held on the 25th at 1 PM around Gangseo-gu Community Center and Ujang Neighborhood Park. The Kkachikkachi Festival is an event organized to celebrate Youth Month in May, allowing children and adolescents, the future of our country, to freely play and showcase their talents and creativity.
This year, under the slogan “The Value Added Together by Kkachikkachi,” various programs such as ▲singing children’s songs, writing and drawing contests ▲club performances ▲play experience booths will be held.
The festival will begin with a pre-show performance by magician Shin Seong-ho, who stimulates children’s curiosity, followed by the opening ceremony at 1 PM at Gangseo-gu Community Center. The opening ceremony will feature a splendid performance by the Gangseo-gu Children’s Choir and the announcement of the themes for the writing and drawing contests. From 2 PM, the children’s song singing contest will showcase the singing skills honed by elementary school students. Thirty-seven finalist teams, having passed fierce competition, will perform beautiful harmonies in front of judges and the audience.
The writing and drawing contests will be held from 2 PM for preschool children and elementary students. Participants will complete and submit works of drawing or writing based on three themes related to children and adolescents, which were selected at the opening ceremony.
Applications can be submitted via the Gangseo Children’s District Office website or email until the day before the contest, and on-site registration is also available on the day of the event. The district will select outstanding works from a total of 70 teams (participants), including 15 for children’s song singing, 40 for drawing, and 15 for writing, and award certificates on June 27 at Gangseo-gu Community Center.
At the outdoor stage set up in Ujangsan Neighborhood Park, youth club performances will take place from 1:30 PM. Youths who have honed their skills through the youth club support project will showcase various talents such as dance, band, and orchestra on stage.
Additionally, the event venue will feature play experience booths where children can learn about the four fundamental rights of children (survival, protection, development, participation), a family photo studio photo zone, a child abuse prevention campaign, and various other side events.
District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, “It will be a joyful festival where children and adolescents can play with their peers, showcase their talents, and enjoy watching their friends’ creativity.”
