Obigo, Autonomous A2G? Yellowknife and Autonomous Driving HMI Infrastructure Environment Construction MOU

Obigo, a specialized company in smart car software platforms, announced on the 21st that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with autonomous driving startups Autonomous A2Z and Yellowknife to establish an autonomous driving Human Machine Interface (HMI) infrastructure environment. This agreement aims to innovatively improve the HMI solutions for Korean-style Level 4 autonomous vehicles.


Under this agreement, the three companies plan to mutually cooperate on △building an HMI infrastructure environment suitable for designated route autonomous driving △establishing an advertising platform suitable for connected-based autonomous driving HMI environments, among other initiatives.


Through this agreement, Obigo, Autonomous A2Z, and Yellowknife have laid the foundation to develop innovative autonomous driving HMI solutions by leveraging their respective expertise. The three companies will jointly build the autonomous driving HMI infrastructure environment, verify performance through various tests, and focus on enhancing stability.


Han Sung Lee, CEO of Yellowknife, stated, "Through this agreement, we expect to accelerate the commercialization of autonomous vehicles by developing innovative autonomous driving HMI solutions that provide users with a more intuitive and convenient interface."


Obigo provides core software (SW) solutions leading growth in vehicle HMI, autonomous vehicles, and the electric vehicle era, and its solutions have been installed in finished vehicles of global companies such as △Hyundai Motor Group △KG Mobility △Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance △Toyota Korea △Volvo Korea △Jaguar Land Rover. Recently, Obigo has been strengthening strategic investments and joint business partnerships by executing strategic cooperation in mobility service businesses domestically and internationally in phases.


Autonomous A2Z is an autonomous driving company providing autonomous driving services to the general public nationwide, including Incheon, Sejong, Anyang, and Daegu. The company ranked 13th in the 'Global Autonomous Driving Technology Comprehensive Ranking' announced by Guidehouse Insights in 2023, gaining recognition for excellence in the global market and preparing to enter the global market. Through this agreement, Autonomous A2Z plans to collaborate with Obigo and Yellowknife, who have rich automotive experience, to build an HMI infrastructure environment tailored to the global markets targeted by Autonomous A2Z, such as the Middle East and Singapore, and provide localized services.


Ji-hyung Han, CEO of Autonomous A2Z, said, "With the signing of this MOU, we will continue close cooperation and accelerate technology development and commercialization. Through this, we aim to lead the global autonomous vehicle market with user-centered innovative technology."


Do-yeon Hwang, CEO of Obigo, emphasized, “We will strive to build user-customized autonomous driving service infrastructure and lead the global market through close collaboration with autonomous driving companies recognized in the global market.”
