This volunteer group is an educational scholarship mentoring program that started in 2014, where Hyundai Engineering & Construction employees, university student mentors, and youth mentees form teams of three to build bonds over a year and assist with career planning.

University student mentors help improve the academic abilities of youth mentees, while employee mentors support university students and youth mentees in strengthening their capabilities through career exploration. Additionally, the program supports the formation of continuous social networks through emotional bonding and various cultural exchange activities.

Over the past 10 years, a total of 534 participants have joined the volunteer group, including 170 youths, 199 university students, and 165 employees.

About 150 people attended the 10th anniversary event, including Cho Hye-kyung, outside director of Hyundai Engineering & Construction, Kim Byung-gi, head of the Children and Future Foundation, and employees, university students, and youths from the 1st to 10th cohorts of the Dream Nurturing Mentoring Volunteer Group.

In addition to academic and career outcomes through educational scholarship support, the volunteer group generated a 146% return on total investment when converting youth private education cost savings and university student scholarship payments into monetary value.

Not only academic grades but also academic achievement, career competency, and emotional stability of youths and university students improved by more than 10%, indicating significant contributions to psychological aspects as well.

A Hyundai Engineering & Construction official stated, "Through the activities of the Hillstate Dream Nurturing Mentoring Volunteer Group over the past 10 years, understanding and interest in the construction industry have increased," adding, "We will continue to carry out talent donation and social contribution activities that help nurture talent in the construction field and assist youths and university students in academic improvement and career exploration."
