Got off one stop earlier than originally planned
Won Spitto2000 set, received 2 billion KRW
"Thinking of my husband in heaven... will use it to repay loans and more"
A story was revealed about a person who deliberately got off one stop early on the way to work to buy a lottery ticket and won 2 billion won.
On the 20th, lottery operator Donghaeng Lottery shared an interview with the first-place winner of the 52nd Spitto 2000. The winner, Mr. A, said, "I buy lottery tickets once or twice a month," and added, "That day, I wanted to buy a lottery ticket, so I got off the bus one stop earlier than my usual stop and stopped by a lottery store." The lottery ticket was purchased at a lottery store in Nowon-gu, Seoul.
Mr. A said, "I bought 5,000 won worth of Lotto tickets and 20,000 won worth of Spitto 2000 tickets, then checked the Spitto tickets after arriving at work." He continued, "At first, I was very surprised to see the 1 billion won prize, and while confirming whether it was real or not, I saw the 'set' mark. I scratched the other ticket attached together and found out that I had won a total of 2 billion won." He shared his feelings, saying, "I was so happy and thought of my husband in heaven," and "I told my children about it, and we celebrated together."
Regarding plans for the prize money, Mr. A said, "I plan to use half to repay loans and share the rest with my children."
Spitto is a scratch-off lottery ticket that allows instant confirmation of winning status. Depending on the number of games, method, and prize money, it is divided into three types: Spitto 500, 1000, and 2000. For Spitto 2000, which Mr. A won first place in, if both lucky pictures in each game match, the corresponding prize is awarded. The ticket price is 2,000 won. There are six first-place winning tickets per round, and the first prize is 1 billion won. When purchasing a set of two tickets, if one ticket wins, the other ticket also wins, allowing the winner to receive 2 billion won.
