[Harumanbo Harucheonja] "Enjoy Tropical Nights with a Nonstop 2-Day Walk"... Hangang Night Walk 42K to be Held

Started in 2016, Hangang Night Walk 42K is an overnight walking challenge themed 'Two Days Without Sleep,' gaining enthusiastic responses from people in their 20s and 30s and held annually as an all-night Hangang walking event. Sponsored by the Seoul Hangang Festival, hosted by Blent, and organized by Urban Sports, this year’s event will be held under the theme 'Show Your Passion at Hangang.'

Starting from Yeouido Hangang Park, participants will walk through the night, experiencing the Hangang River with the 63 Building as a backdrop at sunset, the Banpo Rainbow Fountain encountered along the way, and the Hangang Park at sunrise, witnessing the ever-changing and diverse views of the Hangang River. After completing the walk, participants can enjoy various food options from food trucks and visit event booths set up at the venue.

The walking courses are available in 15 km, 22 km, and 42 km distances, allowing participants to choose according to their stamina and preference. The time limits are 4 hours for 15 km, 6 hours for 22 km, and 11 hours for 42 km. The start times will be sequentially assigned between 6 PM and midnight depending on the course. The organizers stated that the completion rate for Hangang Night Walk participants is about 90%, and walking training of about 5 km to 10 km once a week will make it easy to complete the course.

Hangang Night Walk is a festival-style event where participants can enjoy walking without competition for records or rankings, and anyone can join without restrictions. Tickets can be purchased on the official Urban Sports website. A total of 12,000 participants will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis.

Urban Sports not only organizes this event but also plans sports events and walking competitions tailored to the characteristics of cities, such as Spring Walk Seoul, Bridge Walk Hangang, and Busan Night Walk 42K, promoting easy-to-access exercise in daily life. An Urban Sports official said, "We hope participants take care of their physical and mental health and feel the spirit of challenge and passion through Hangang Night Walk."
