Gyeonggi Office of Education Promotes Activation of School Media Education... Agreement with Korea Press Foundation Gyeonggi Provincial Superintendent of Education Lim Tae-hee is giving a greeting after signing an agreement to promote school media education with Kim Hyo-jae, Chairman of the Korea Press Foundation, on the 20th.

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has signed a business agreement with the Korea Press Foundation to promote school media education and establish a mutual cooperation system.


The Office of Education announced that on the 20th, Superintendent Lim Tae-hee exchanged opinions on cooperation plans to support school media education with Kim Hyo-jae, Chairman of the Korea Press Foundation, and signed a business agreement at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Media Education Center.


At the event, Superintendent Lim Tae-hee emphasized, "In the digital media era that students will live in, media literacy education that uses media discerningly and digital character education are important for proper education."


He continued, "Through this business agreement, I ask everyone to play their roles so that broad education on media can be provided to students and teachers through close cooperation with the Korea Press Foundation."


According to the agreement, the two organizations will carry out various projects including ▲ information exchange and joint research for developing school media education curricula ▲ sharing human resources and cooperating in the use of teaching materials to activate school media education ▲ mutual organic support for the smooth execution of school media education projects ▲ and systematic media education project implementation.


Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Media Education Center, where the business agreement ceremony was held, was newly established in March this year as a direct media education institution under the Office of Education through organizational restructuring, becoming the first of its kind among metropolitan and provincial offices of education nationwide to serve as a central hub for media education.
