Sangmyung University Chungnam Innovation Center and Anseo-dong Merchants Association will present a free performance of Ariel Dorfman's play "Widows."

The performance, held from the 23rd to the 25th at the Kyedang Hall Small Theater on Sangmyung University Cheonan Campus, is part of the "Win-Win Cultural Arts Project Baram+" and was planned to revitalize cultural arts neglected by the interests of local-government-industry-academia or private-public-industry-academia collaborations.

The play "Widows" features a total of 47 students from Sangmyung University's College of Arts majoring in Theater, Stage Design, and Cultural Arts Management, who participated either as actors or staff, with Professor Kim Jeongseop from the Theater Department serving as the artistic director.

Ham Jangsu, president of the Anseo-dong Merchants Association, said, "This 'Baram' project is a collaborative effort created together by Sangmyung University and the Anseo-dong community," adding, "We expect that the passion and talent of university students combined with the interest and participation of local residents will contribute to the development of the local community."
