The '2024 Cheonan K-Culture Expo,' opening on the 22nd, has completed all preparations and entered the countdown to welcome guests.


This expo is the largest Hallyu culture expo in Korea, encompassing the history and future value of K-Culture through exhibitions, performances, experiences, and industry forums.


Especially this year, to advance as an industrial expo, the theme "Global K-Culture, Coloring the World" was chosen to strengthen exhibition-focused content.


To this end, themed exhibition halls in areas such as theme, beauty, food, and webtoons, as well as a Hangeul Zone, have been prepared to showcase the past, present, and future of K-Culture, focusing on creating future value linked with the industry conference.


On the first day of the expo, the 22nd, the opening ceremonies of the various exhibition halls, the Black Eagles airshow, the opening ceremony and congratulatory performances, and a drone and fireworks show featuring over 1,000 drones will heighten the atmosphere of the opening.


Additionally, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) will operate export consultation booths to support local companies in discovering overseas partners and developing various sales channels.


On the 23rd, performances such as the domestic finals of the 'K-Pop World Audition,' the 'K-Musical Concert,' and the 'K-Heritage Hanbok Fashion Show' will continue. On the 24th, the 'K-Pop Concert in the World,' which allows audiences to follow the flow of K-Pop with commentary by music critic Im Jin-mo, the 'Regional Trot Battle,' and the overseas finals of the 'K-Pop World Audition' will be presented.


On the 25th, popular radio show 'Escape at Two Cultwo Show Super Concert,' the 'Cheonan Youth Artists Festa,' and the finals of the 'K-Pop World Audition' will take place. On the 26th, 'K-Culture Abnormal Summit,' where foreign broadcasters discuss K-Culture, the children's musical 'Shinbi Apartment Sing-Along Show,' and the closing ceremony are scheduled.


In the themed exhibition hall, works combining cutting-edge technology such as the media facade of the Tower of the Nation and media poles will be showcased, and in the 'Food Exhibition Hall,' 16 companies including Nongshim, Binggrae, and Rims Chicken will participate to explore the evolution of K-Food.


Also, the 'Hangeul Zone' allows visitors to explore the definition, excellence, scientific nature, principles of Hangeul creation, and the use of Hangeul in Hallyu culture worldwide.


At the Independence Hall's Gyereneuri Convention Hall, the 'K-Culture Industry Conference' themed on webtoons, Hallyu, and New Hallyu will be held.


Mayor Park Sang-don said, "We have completed preparations to welcome domestic and international visitors, including on-site inspections for the successful hosting of the '2024 Cheonan K-Culture Expo.' We will make every effort until the end so that this expo not only demonstrates the dynamism of Korean culture but also serves as a platform and guide for global cultural diplomacy."
