Co-hosted by Gyeonggi Province and Pyeongtaek City, the 'Hanmi Dancing Carnival' is a cultural festival that began in 2018 and is now celebrating its 7th edition this year. Both domestic and international performance teams participate, showcasing parade competitions, dance contests, and celebratory performances. Notably, starting this year, the festival features an experiential format where visitors can directly participate through dance experiences and dance pop concerts.

The event will feature performances such as 'Road Busking,' where citizens' requested songs are sung, dance challenges, and a 'Flash Mob' with cheer squads. The main event, the 'Dance Pop Concert,' will include performances by the US 8th Army Brass Band and foreign show ballet troupes such as 'Garmonia,' 'Yasmin Belly Dance Team,' 'Dream Musical,' 'Twigim Soboche,' and 'Samjeomilsa,' presenting a variety of music and dance genres.

In the final segment of the event, Mr. Kim Seong-in, who gained fame for his impersonation of singer Psy, will perform the 'Psy Soaked Show' featuring Psy's hit songs.

A Pyeongtaek City official stated, "This year's Hanmi Dancing Carnival has been planned as a large-scale concert blending dance and pop performances," adding, "We expect it to become Pyeongtaek's premier representative festival, leaping beyond the region to the world."
