Especially Popular: Single-Serving Bingsu That Can Be Enjoyed Alone
Ediya Coffee announced on the 20th that its five new summer season shaved ice products surpassed 200,000 cumulative sales within 18 days of release.
The new shaved ice products introduced by Ediya Coffee for this summer consist of two types of "Snowflake Shaved Ice" (▲Patinjeolmi Snowflake Shaved Ice ▲Apple Mango Snowflake Shaved Ice) and three types of "Single-serving Shaved Ice" (▲Patinjeolmi Single-serving Shaved Ice ▲Mango Yogurt Granola Single-serving Shaved Ice ▲Chodang Corn Single-serving Shaved Ice). They were designed to be enjoyed in various ways according to the situation and preference with toppings of diverse flavors and textures, and were released about a week earlier than usual due to the early heat wave.
The five new shaved ice products have contributed to sales growth by selling more than 10,000 units daily on average since their release. The three "Single-serving Shaved Ice" varieties, which are reasonably priced and come in a suitable size for enjoying alone without burden, account for about 80% of total shaved ice sales and are gaining popularity. In particular, the newly introduced "Chodang Corn Single-serving Shaved Ice" this year is attracting attention with the unique sweet and savory taste of Chodang corn and the crispy texture of corn flakes, showing high sales volume.
Except for the signature menu item Patinjeolmi Single-serving Shaved Ice, the new shaved ice products will be available as a limited season offer until September 30, and the Chodang Corn Single-serving Shaved Ice will be sold only in limited seasonal quantities.
An Ediya Coffee representative said, "It seems that the number of customers seeking shaved ice has increased recently due to mild weather and the rise in outdoor visitors," adding, "As an unprecedented heat wave is expected this year as well, we will strive to become a resting place for customers through various summer menus including shaved ice."
