The Yongin City Museum in Gyeonggi-do will hold the cultural experience project 'Osaek Dano Hanmadang' on the 1st of next month to celebrate Dano Day.
This event, prepared as part of the support project for museums and art galleries in Gyeonggi-do, consists of ▲Experience Hanmadang ▲Play Hanmadang ▲Performance Hanmadang.
The 'Experience Hanmadang,' composed of four types of experience programs, is divided into regular experiences and reservation experiences. In the regular experience, participants can make ▲Surichitteok soap ▲Dano fans ▲Longevity bracelets. For each program, 200 participants will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis at the site.
The reservation experience program, 'Aeho Doll Making,' is a family-oriented program held four times with 20 teams per session. Participants will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis through the 'Yongin City Integrated Reservation' website from the 27th to the 29th.
At the back deck of the museum, the 'Play Hanmadang' will take place. Visitors can enjoy traditional folk games such as tuho throwing, rolling a hoop, playing ttakji, and jegichagi. At the front gate of the museum, the 'Performance Hanmadang' will feature balloon performances and mime shows.
Detailed program information can be found on the 'Yongin City Museum' website and blog. A representative of the Yongin City Museum said, "We will continue to provide programs that allow people to remember and experience fading traditions through various experience events."
