Equipment and Maintenance Scheduled After Investigation of Exact Cause of Shutdown

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Wolseong Headquarters announced, "Shin-Wolsong Unit 2 (pressurized water reactor, 100 MW class) automatically shut down its reactor at around 12:35 PM on the 18th due to a protection signal triggered by the stoppage of one reactor coolant pump during normal power operation."

The power plant is currently maintaining a stable condition, and after investigating the exact cause of the reactor coolant pump stoppage, the facility will be repaired.
