42 Including Lawmakers Receive Awards
The "Proud Figures Who Shined Korea Awards Ceremony" was held at the main auditorium of the National Assembly Library on the 17th, hosted by the office of Choi Jae-hyung, a member of the National Assembly from the People Power Party.
The "Proud Figures Who Shined Korea Awards" is a ceremony organized by Saehan Ilbo to commemorate its 21st anniversary, aiming to discover individuals who have contributed to various fields such as politics, economy, society, and culture, which are the driving forces behind Korea's growth.
The first part of the event, a thanksgiving worship service, included a sermon by Pastor Jung Younggyo of Sanbon Central Church, a congratulatory message by Lee Okran, Chairperson of the UN Peace Village, and a celebratory address by Ko Sejin, former president of Asia United Theological University.
The second part, the awards ceremony, was dedicated to recognizing and encouraging individuals who play important roles in Korean society in fields such as politics, economy, society, culture, and education.
After the opening declaration by Han Punggyo, Vice President of Saehan Ilbo, Shin Yuseul, publisher of Saehan Ilbo, delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of cherishing those who have contributed to social development through the "Proud Figures Who Shined Korea Awards," preserving Korea's identity in the era of globalization, and raising Korea's status on the world stage as a shared mission for all.
The awardees, selected by the Startup Management Forum, Consumer Journal, and the Saehan Ilbo Awards Organizing Committee, included Baek Hyeryeon, a member of the National Assembly from the Democratic Party of Korea, Cho Junghoon, a member of the National Assembly from the People Power Party, Lee Okran, Chairperson of the UN Peace Village, and 42 others.
