The overall average rating for Bodum Company on Job Planet is low at 1.7 points. Of the 27 reviews posted on the platform, 17 gave a 1-star rating. Most complaints were directed at the management. A post from last month stated, "After quitting, I continued visiting a psychiatrist for panic disorder, anxiety disorder, and depression," adding, "The ongoing gaslighting, personal insults, and demands unrelated to work from the married CEO and director left me mentally exhausted."

"They designated a messenger app and installed it without employee consent to monitor all messages, reading through them overnight to find any negative comments about themselves. They used this information to harass employees," the post claimed. "They forced employees to sign consent forms for messenger monitoring by bringing in a lawyer and used this as leverage to threaten them."

Another employee said, "When you join the company, you wonder how it grew this big," criticizing, "The management boasts about welfare benefits that barely comply with the law." They added, "Long-term diligent employees are treated like disposable goods and gaslighted to prevent complaints." They also mentioned, "Employees who worked for 7 to 8 years were laid off over the phone." The employee pointed out, "Although the company’s closure was tentatively decided, new hires were recruited without informing them of this fact." They noted, "One employee even signed a lease for a jeonse house for commuting but was laid off due to the closure, putting them in a difficult situation."

In response, netizens have urged explanations through comments on the community board of the YouTube channel 'Kang Hyeong-wook's Bodum TV.' No official response has been given yet.

Kang Hyeong-wook gained great popularity, earning the nickname 'Dog President,' through appearances on EBS's 'There Are No Bad Dogs in the World' and KBS2's 'Dogs Are Great.' Bodum Company, established in 2014, provides dog training services but announced it will completely cease educational services from June 30 due to internal circumstances.
