Equipped with Futsal, Badminton, and Gateball Courts
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 19th that it will establish a public sports facility in the area of 551-35, Yeokbuk-dong, Cheoin-gu, and officially operate it from the 1st of next month.
The newly prepared sports facility utilizes the land beneath the 'Samga~Daechon Hagoogae Bridge.' The city invested a total budget of 950 million KRW, starting construction of the sports facility in September last year and completing the construction at the end of last month.

The sports facility includes three courts: a multipurpose field for futsal and jokgu, a gateball court, and a combined badminton and pickleball court, along with two rest areas and one restroom.
The operation of the facility will be managed by the Cheoin District Office. After a one-month trial operation starting from the 1st of next month, usage applications will be accepted from July through the 'Yongin Special City Public Sports Facility Integrated Reservation System.'
Meanwhile, Mayor Lee Sang-il of Yongin visited the site on the 17th to inspect the facility, listen to residents' opinions, and instructed on necessary improvements. The mayor stated, "We will properly manage the facility so that all citizens can enjoy their leisure time happily in a pleasant environment created by the public sports facility."
The mayor added, "We are planning sports leisure facilities in the semiconductor new town waterfront area to be built in Idong-eup, Cheoin-gu, and remodeling of the park golf course in Suji Arpia is also underway. We will continue to strive to expand cultural, artistic, and sports facilities for the citizens."
