Choi Ho-gwon, the mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, participated in the 'Dorim-dong Rose Village Festival' held in the Dorim Retention Basin area on the afternoon of the 18th, taking commemorative photos with residents at the photo zone.
After the opening ceremony at 2 PM, the event officially began with a residents' singing contest hosted by comedian Kim Yong-ui and congratulatory performances by invited singers Joo Jae-hyung and Kim Ga-hyun, energizing the audience attending the festival.
The large-scale site of 2,000㎡ (about 600 pyeong) around the retention basin is planted with bright red roses, creating a truly spectacular sight. The faces of visitors walking along the 'Rose Flower Path,' where traditional lanterns and roses blend together with the deep rose fragrance, are filled with relaxation and smiles.
Choi Ho-gwon, mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, said, "In May, the queen of seasons, colorful flowers bloom and show off their beautiful appearance. I hope everyone enjoys the peak of spring at the Dorim-dong Rose Village Festival and takes home precious memories."
