Korea Technopark Association Shares Korean Technopark Model with Uzbekistan IT PARK

IT Park to Launch Capacity Building Training for Sustainable Growth

The Korea Techno Park Association (Chairman Do Gunwoo) will hold the "2nd Korea Invitation Training for Capacity Building of Uzbekistan IT Park Management Personnel" by inviting the operating staff of Uzbekistan IT Park for an 8-night, 10-day program from May 15 to 24.


The Gyeongbuk Techno Park Consortium (Gyeongbuk Techno Park - Korea Techno Park Association - Dain Leaders) is currently carrying out the "Foundation Building and Capacity Enhancement Project for the Sustainable Growth of Uzbekistan IT Park (2021-2025)" under the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). This invitation training is being conducted as part of this project.

Korea Technopark Association Shares Korean Technopark Model with Uzbekistan IT PARK Gyeongbuk Technopark is conducting a training program by inviting operational staff from Uzbekistan IT Park.

This invitation training aims to establish a sustainable operation model for Uzbekistan IT Park by strengthening the capabilities of its management personnel, and ultimately to foster Uzbekistan's IT industry and realize the development of the digital economy.


Uzbekistan IT Park was established in July 2019 to build an ecosystem and support companies for the development of Uzbekistan’s IT industry and the growth of small and medium-sized IT venture companies.


The detailed program includes learning about Korea’s IT industry and company fostering policies, as well as case studies on the operation model of Korea Techno Park.


In addition, participants will have the opportunity to enhance their understanding of Korea’s corporate support systems and environment through visits to Techno Parks (Gyeongbuk, Incheon), IT-related corporate support organizations, and outstanding small and medium-sized IT companies.


Furthermore, trainees will directly participate in practical sessions to discuss the development direction of their home country’s IT industry and establish action plans for key tasks to ensure the sustainable growth of IT Park, in order to effectively apply the training results to their work.


A representative from the Korea Techno Park Association stated that this invitation training is expected not only to contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of Uzbekistan’s IT industry, but also to secure continuous exchange opportunities between the two countries through the establishment of a cooperative system, and to enhance collaboration through partnerships between companies from both countries.
