Signing of 'Regional Resource Linked Gangseo AI Future Education Business Agreement'

Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) has joined hands with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Jo Hee-yeon) to promote artificial intelligence (AI) digital education for local students. On the 17th at 2 p.m., the district announced that it signed a "Gangseo AI Future Education Business Agreement Linked with Local Resources" with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education at Seoul Startup Hub M+.
According to the agreement, the two organizations will actively work on ▲developing AI digital education programs linked with local resources such as local companies and educational institutions ▲establishing AI and digital infrastructure within schools and operating related programs ▲encouraging participation of students and teachers in future education programs to revitalize AI digital education.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon of Gangseo-gu, Superintendent Jo Hee-yeon of Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, National Assembly member Jin Sung-jun, and Seoul’s Chief Digital Officer Lee Sang-yong. Industry representatives from LG Discovery Lab, Luiton Technologies, Robotis, and Exem also participated.
Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, “We have been considering how to properly deliver AI education to local students, and local companies will be a great help,” adding, “We will actively cooperate with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education and related companies so that AI education can go beyond learning and connect to practical future careers.”
Following the agreement, the district held a meeting with officials from Seoul City, AI-related companies, and educational institutions to discuss “linkage plans for related local resources and industry-academia-government collaboration for the development of Gangseo-gu AI future education.”
At the meeting, representatives from Seoul City, schools, and AI companies discussed ways to activate company-centered AI digital education.
