Bukyeong Sports Club Social Cooperative Signs Agreement with Gen.G Academy Busan Branch

The National Pukyong National University Sports Promotion Institute (Director Kim Younghoon), the Pukyung Sports Club Social Cooperative (Secretary General Jung Minseung), and the Gen.G Global Academy Busan Branch (Director Kwon Jaehwan) have joined forces to revitalize the esports industry in Busan.

On the afternoon of the 14th, the three organizations signed a tripartite agreement at the Pukyong National University Water Leisure Center to promote the development of esports and organic cooperation. They agreed to work together to establish Busan as a city of everyday esports, revitalize the local esports industry, and create jobs.

Through this agreement, the organizations will jointly strive to build a grassroots esports system in Busan and nurture elite esports talent.

The National Pukyong National University Sports Promotion Institute, as a leading sports promotion institution in the region, will provide human and material resources including experts. The Pukyung Sports Club Social Cooperative will support the operation of esports clubs by utilizing sports facilities at the Pukyong National University Yongdang Campus.

The Gen.G Global Academy Busan Branch plans to develop and run educational curriculums for elite esports talent, and provide professional instructors and educational infrastructure. They also aim to distribute and expand the benefits of the esports education industry, which has been concentrated in the Seoul metropolitan area, to Busan and other regions.

Through this agreement, the National Pukyong National University Sports Promotion Institute and the other organizations expect to contribute to enhancing the status of Korea as the birthplace of esports by cooperating to vitalize the high value-added esports industry centered in the Busan area.
