Muan-gun's Enrollment Congratulatory Fund Support Smooth Sailing... Payment Rate Surpasses 80%

Payments completed for 3,010 people... Unregistered applicants can apply until the end of November

Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 17th that out of 3,744 eligible recipients, 3,010 students received the entrance congratulatory money for new elementary, middle, high school, and university students during the intensive application period from the 15th of last month to the 14th, recording a payment rate of 80.78%.

The county has been providing entrance congratulatory money of 100,000 KRW per new elementary, middle, and high school student, and 1,000,000 KRW per new university student in Muan Sarang gift certificates immediately upon application since the 15th of last month, aiming to strengthen the public nature of education through universal educational welfare and realize a city conducive to education.

In particular, to facilitate applications for residents of Namaak and Oryong, where many new students' families reside, additional application sites for entrance congratulatory money were operated at the Namaak Complex Community Center and Oryong On-site Civil Service Office during the intensive application period to expedite payments.

Governor Kim San said, "I hope the entrance congratulatory money for new elementary, middle, high school, and university students helps alleviate the economic burden on parents in our region," and added, "Residents who have not yet applied for the entrance congratulatory money are encouraged to apply promptly to help revitalize the local economy."

Meanwhile, residents who have not yet applied for the entrance congratulatory money can receive support through on-demand applications at the township or town offices of their residence until the end of November. Retroactive support will not be possible after the application period ends.

The eligible recipients are new elementary, middle, and high school students registered as residents or with a place of stay in Muan-gun as of the entrance date, and new university students who, as of January 1 of the entrance year, have themselves or at least one family member listed on the family relation register (father, mother, spouse, or child) continuously registered as residents in Muan-gun for more than one year.
