[Special Stock] SAMG Entertainment, 'Ali·Temu' KC Uncertified Toy Direct Purchase Ban... Domestic 'Catch! Tini Ping' Spotlight↑

SAMG Entertainment is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as being influenced by the news that toys and strollers without the Korea Certification (KC) mark will no longer be available for purchase on overseas shopping platforms such as AliExpress and Temu.

As of 11:10 AM on the 17th, SAMG Entertainment is trading at 13,370 KRW, up 4.29% compared to the previous day.

The day before, the government held a National Policy-Related Ministers' Meeting chaired by Prime Minister Han Duck-soo at the Customs Office of Incheon Airport Headquarters and announced the "Measures to Strengthen Consumer Safety and Enhance Corporate Competitiveness Due to the Surge in Overseas Direct Purchases."

First, starting next month, direct purchases of 80 items that could affect the safety and health of the public will be completely banned if they do not have KC certification. Specifically, 34 items used by children under 13 years old, including strollers, toys, water play equipment, and children's bicycles, are subject to this regulation.

Meanwhile, the "Catch! Tiniping" series launched by SAMG Entertainment in 2020 is a mega IP with a fandom of 2 million kids domestically. "Catch! Tiniping" has achieved cumulative sales of 150 billion KRW, surpassed a peak TV viewership rating of 26%, ranked first on domestic and international OTT platforms, and has been breaking new records as a kids IP every day within three years of its launch. In December last year, it won the Presidential Award at the Korea Content Awards, establishing itself as the overwhelmingly top character.
