Naju-si Conducts 'Community Health Survey' Targeting 900 Adults

Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Yoon Byung-tae) is conducting the '2024 Community Health Survey' jointly with the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency from the 16th of this month until July 31.

According to the city, the Community Health Survey has been conducted annually since 2008 to produce basic data that can be used to establish local health care plans and evaluate the performance of health projects.

The survey targets approximately 900 adults aged 19 and older among household members of sample households selected by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency. Four community health surveyors will visit the sample households in person to conduct one-on-one interviews.

The survey covers a total of 17 areas and 172 questions, including health behaviors (smoking, drinking, physical activity, dietary habits, etc.), chronic disease prevalence, mental health, and medical service utilization. Participants will receive a small token of appreciation (gift certificate).

Kang Dong-ryeol, Director of the Health Center, stated, "The Community Health Survey guarantees confidentiality under the Statistics Act, so there is no concern about personal information leakage," and added, "As this is an important project used as basic data for establishing Naju City's health policies, we ask for the active cooperation of the target households when surveyors visit."
