Dongseo University Signs Academic Exchange Agreements with Indonesian Private University Association and 16 Universities

Agreement for Participation in the Asian Union University Continues

Dongseo University announced on the 16th that a delegation consisting of the Indonesian Association of Private Higher Education Institutions (Asosiasi Badan Penyelenggara Perguruan Tinggi Swasta Indonesia, ABPPTSI), the largest private university association in Indonesia, and presidents from 16 affiliated private universities visited the university on the 14th.


Attending the event were Dongseo University President Jang Je-guk, Executive Vice President Kim Jeongseon, and Director of International Affairs Han Kyungho. Also present were university officials and representatives from the Indonesian Association of Private Universities, including Chief Executive Officer Winardi Sani, Vice President Paul Sirait, Vice President Marniati, as well as presidents and vice presidents from 16 local Indonesian private universities, totaling 34 participants.


During the visit, the participating universities signed an academic exchange agreement and agreed to strive for various forms of cooperation, not only in major education but also in academic and cultural fields. In particular, the Indonesian private universities expressed their support for Dongseo University's ongoing Asian Alliance University project and pledged active participation.


Through the Asian Alliance University cooperation project, participating universities will offer online courses via Dongseo University's online platform, and their students will be able to receive credit recognition from a variety of universities and countries across Asia.


Prior to the signing ceremony, a forum was held under the theme of 'Asian Higher Education Cooperation.' Dongseo University's Director of International Affairs Han Kyungho gave a keynote presentation on the Asian Alliance University cooperation model, followed by in-depth discussions on practical educational cooperation models with the Indonesian private universities.


Winardi Sani, Chief Executive Officer, said, "We have gained a good understanding of Dongseo University's innovative and excellent educational infrastructure and curriculum, and we are pleased to be able to discuss and participate in practical exchange and cooperation programs together. Through the Asian Alliance University agreement, we will actively cooperate to nurture global talents in this era of change."
