On the morning of the 15th, a fire broke out at the Dongdaemun Environmental Development Corporation in Seoul, and the fire authorities launched firefighting efforts.
According to the fire authorities, a report was received around 8:20 a.m. that a fire had occurred at the Dongdaemun Environmental Development Corporation located in Yongdu-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul. The fire department deployed about 40 pieces of equipment and 140 personnel to extinguish the fire. As of 10:30 a.m., no casualties have been reported.
As firefighting operations continue, Exit 4 of Yongdu Station on Subway Line 2 near the fire site has been temporarily closed.
