The National Institute of Technology and Standards under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced on the 15th that it will launch the 'Saetbyeol (NOVA) Project' from June, a program that supports NET (New Excellent Technology) and NEP (New Excellent Product) certified companies in attracting investment funds necessary for research and development or facility expansion.
This project connects NET and NEP certified companies seeking investment with venture capital and other investment institutions. It was implemented reflecting the field's voice that securing investment funds is crucial for the growth of certified companies, and government support is necessary for this.
The National Institute of Technology and Standards, together with the Council of Investment Institutions for Materials, Parts, and Equipment, will identify promising investment companies among those certified with NET or NEP, build a database of certified companies and investment institutions to enable mutual information search, and provide education and consulting for investment attraction from investment institutions to strengthen the investment attraction capabilities of certified companies. Furthermore, by conducting investment briefings (IR), on-site inspections, and other investment processes, it plans to lead to investment agreements and investment-linked research and development (R&D), thereby producing tangible results.
As the first step of the investment attraction support project, the National Institute of Technology and Standards will hold a business briefing session for certified companies on the 16th at the Textile Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, to introduce the investment attraction support program and concurrently provide investment attraction education.
Jin Jong-wook, head of the National Institute of Technology and Standards, said, "We hope that NET and NEP certified companies with excellent technology will grow from small and domestic companies to mid-sized and export companies through this investment attraction support program, and we will continue to expand support projects for certified companies, such as overseas marketing and financial support."
