In celebration of Family Month in May, Busan Metropolitan City will hold the 18th Busan Family Festival at Dasom Madang in Busan Citizens Park on May 18th at 10:30 AM.
This event is hosted by the city and jointly organized by 13 Healthy Family Support Centers and Family Centers in the Busan area.
Under the slogan "Let Every Family Blossom with Laughter," which wishes for a city full of smiles, the event will feature a variety of programs reflecting the values of inclusion, shared care, and equality for all.
Main programs include: ▲ 39 on- and offline family experience activities ▲ Family-made fabric poster workshop ▲ Life-cycle education to promote a horizontal family culture ▲ Family relationship check-up (family counseling) ▲ Stage performances by the Holton Symphony Orchestra, Dreaming Aojae by Saha-gu Family Center, and a bubble show.
For the "Poster Making" and "Family Counseling" programs, advance registration is required through the Busan Family Festival website, while other programs are open for on-site registration on the day of the event.
Additionally, an online event open to everyone will be held until the 26th.
The online programs include: ▲ Spreading the Word about the Family Festival ▲ Our Family's Laughter Tips ▲ The Flower Our Family Resembles and the Reason. All can be participated in through the Busan Family Festival website.
The city plans to offer small prizes to event participants through a random drawing.
Woo Miok, Director of the Women's and Family Affairs Bureau, stated, "Through the Busan Family Festival held in celebration of Family Month in May, we hope to reflect on the value of family and become Busan families full of laughter."
