The event included a congratulatory ceremony for the 70th anniversary of the Labor Relations Commission, awards for labor administration meritorious persons, lectures on the utilization and expansion of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), and discussions on development plans for the Labor Relations Commission.

Former Minister of Labor Kim Dae-hwan emphasized the importance of the Labor Relations Commission’s role in resolving labor-management disputes and rationalizing labor-management relations through his lecture titled “Towards a Rational Society.”

This year, marking the 70th anniversary, the Labor Relations Commission is making it a milestone year to expand its roles and functions by promoting the activation of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), expanding customized dispute prevention services such as fair labor-management relations, workplace grievance handling, and multiple union solutions, and establishing a digital Labor Relations Commission.

At this workshop, key issues and success keywords were shared focusing on mediation and adjudication cases and current issues in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions. Customized improvement measures for current issues were discussed, and the results will be actively reflected.

Kang Nam-jin, Chairman of the Jeonnam Regional Labor Relations Commission, said, “I hope this workshop will serve as an opportunity for the Jeonnam Regional Labor Relations Commission to develop into an institution that leads the establishment of a trust-based society beyond dispute resolution in the region,” and added, “We will do our best to support the establishment of stable labor-management relations in the region.”
