On the 14th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Byeong-no) held a Metasequoia Road walking contest to celebrate the 23rd Damyang Bamboo Festival.
About 1,000 residents and tourists participated.
This walking contest was organized for all residents and tourists visiting the Damyang Bamboo Festival to walk together and fully enjoy the fresh greenery of May.
The event started from the main stage of the festival and proceeded along a one-way 4 km course on Metasequoia Road. Participants who completed the course received souvenirs and were free to join various colorful and interesting festival programs.
An official from the county said, "We hope that residents and tourists can take a break from their daily lives, walk together along the vivid light green Metasequoia Road, and recharge with new energy in nature. We also hope everyone enjoys the abundant 23rd Damyang Bamboo Festival with its diverse attractions and food."
