He also emphasized the importance of securing public spaces that can improve residents' quality of life and sustainable urban regeneration through various European urban regeneration cases such as the "Westergasfabriek Cultural Park," which transformed a closed large gas plant in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, into an eco-friendly cultural park.
Following the lecture, Director Kim highly evaluated Jindo County’s clean natural environment and well-preserved tangible and intangible assets, urging the county to promote sustainable urban regeneration at the county level.
A senior official who attended the training said, "We were able to form a deep consensus on the direction of urban regeneration that our county should pursue," adding, "We will devote all our efforts to discovering urban regeneration measures suitable for our county to create a pleasant living environment for residents."
