To mark the 2nd anniversary of President Yoon Suk-yeol's inauguration, the presidential office will begin selling 'goods' including wristwatches.
The presidential office announced on the day that "six types of wristwatches engraved with the new symbolic system of the Yongsan Presidential Office, along with 10 types of daily necessities and stationery items created in collaboration with artists with developmental disabilities, will be sold sequentially starting from the 14th at the 'Kkumnarae Market' popup zone in the Yongsan Children's Garden souvenir shop."
The items for sale include wristwatches (around 60,000 KRW), eco bags (6,500 to 7,500 KRW), pouches (7,000 KRW), notepads (1,000 KRW), stickers (1,500 KRW), and reusable cups (13,000 KRW), among others.
The presidential office wristwatches consist of four types for men and two types for women, and are scheduled to be sold starting next month.
The presidential office explained, "From a design perspective, we focused on simplicity and symbolism, and plan to release various colors so that buyers can choose according to their personal preferences."
All products except the wristwatches were produced in collaboration with artists with developmental disabilities affiliated with 'Thisabled,' a specialized agency for artists with developmental disabilities, and 'Art We Can' (Korea Association of Cultural and Artistic Activities for People with Developmental Disabilities).
A presidential office official said, "These souvenirs were planned to fully embody the vision of a 'warm government, an active government,' and we will continue to develop products that promote unique local specialties or support various social groups."
Kim Hyun-il, CEO of Thisabled, said, "We priced the products so that many people can easily purchase them," adding, "We are also considering donating the sales proceeds under the artists' names."
Presidential office goods will also be sold at Sarangchae, the souvenir sales location of the Blue House, starting in the second half of this year. Additional sales methods will be considered to enhance public accessibility and convenience.
